Spring Hill Area Wide Youth Devotionals

Between Franklin and Columbia sits the small little area of Spring Hill/Thompson Station. Well, its not so little anymore! For years, congregations in Columbia and congregations in Franklin have cooperated in having joint youth activities. Now has come the time for congregations in the Spring Hill area to join together!There are about 10 congregations of the churches of Christ that meet in the Spring Hill/Thompson Station area including: Spring Hill, Thompson Station, Spring Meadows, Newtown, Beechgrove, New Lasea, Lanton, Boston, ("Little") Fairview, Theta, and several others. Many of these congregations have just a few teenagers; not enough to have an organized youth program, but enough that something special needs to be done for them. With this in mind, several congregations have agreed to cooperate together and have a monthly "Spring Hill area-wide youth devotional;" an event especially for teenagers.The first devotional was hosted by the Spring Meadows congregation in December at the Tennessee Children's Home gymnasium. The second devotional was hosted by Spring Hill in December. The area-wides will consistently be held on the second Sunday night of each month and will be hosted by a different congregation each time. There were about 75 teenagers present at the last event, and we expect it will continue to grow.The next area-wide youth devotional will be held at the Beechgrove congregation. This group of Christians meets on Carter's Creek Pike (from Spring Hill travel out Beechcroft until it intersects Carter's Creek and take a left; the building is on the left).
